* August club meeting was at Dink's at 6:00 on Monday, August 16, 2010
* After all had an opportunity to order and begin eating, business meeting began at approx. 6:35.
* Introductions were made, there were 4 board members, 8 club members and 1 guest attending.
* Announcements - none.
Kevin did take a moment to introduce our guest, Chuck Davis, owner of a bike shop at 1408 E 11th in Tulsa.
* Treasury report was presented by Kevin. July's beginning balance was $2345.33, expenses included July pizza reimbursement of $45.50 and Fire Cracker century reimbursement of $50, leaving an ending balance of $2249.83.
* Mountain bike report none
* Road bike report was instigated by Alan. Ride times are posted on website and there are several organized rides coming up for consideration such as:
* Hotter 'n Hell Aug 28
* Dam Jam - Pryor Sept 11
* TBC Fall Century - Tulsa, OK Sept 25
* 1 Hill of a Ride tentative date: Oct 2
* Safety - Possible topic: BAD DOGS - There was a great deal of lively conversation concerning how riders individually and collectively should react to being chased by dogs.
* Old business - none.
* New business - Kevin reminded members that Keith had sent out an email concering reservations at the lodge at Talimena if anyone is interested in riding (unsupported) October 16. Some options are as short as 26 miles from the lodge to Mena and back.
* Next meeting will be in October, skipping the September 20th date, most lilely to be at the library.
