December meeting was hosted by the Freeman's at their home. Great fun and fellowship was shared by all who attended this relaxed Christmas party. The hosts provided drinks and chicken and members furnished the potluck dishes. I daresay if anyone left hungry that night it was their own fault.
A brief meeting was conducted after dinner, led by president, Dan Schultes. Dale Munn provided the mileage totals for 2010 for those who have provided information to him and indicated those who want to track by calendar year can provide their results to Dale shortly after the start of 2011. Special recognition was given to Peter Estes and Judy Munn, who greatly increased their mileage totals from last year. Kevin Doggett provided information concerning those who biked centuries during the year and will have a 2010 summary after December finished. Lots of thanks to Barbara and Mike Maloney for collecting gifts and for organizing and conducting a door prize drawing for gifts donated by Adventure Bicycle and homemade gifts from Dela Clark, along with a lovely hand made quilt given to the Freemans to thank them for hosting the party. In addition to the distribution of gifts there was a special token gift presented to Dan, fashioned from parts from his recently retired "steed". This was a wind chime built by Keith Clark.
The nominating committee presented their recommendations for 2011 officer elections, which were unanimously approved. They are as follows:
President: Dan Schultes
VP/Treasurer: Kevin Doggett
Secretary: Marsha Greenland
Road director: Rod Harwood
Mountain bike: Corey Cohen
At large directors: Rudy & Raymond
Webmaster: Dale Munn
The meeting was wrapped up after various members shared stories of rides and accomplishments from the previous year. Good times were had by all attending.
