Joel’s Treasurer’s report shows a balance of $1557.62. The club has spent $776 thus far in 2016, and took in $800. No dues changes for 2017 are viewed as being needed by Joel.
A proposed slate of officers for 2017 was proposed, and nominations were sought from the floor. There being no additional nominations, a vote for the slate of nominees was moved, seconded, and passed by a voice vote. The 2017 club elected officers are as follows:
President: Shirley Martin
VP/Treasurer: Joel Martin
Secretary: Ginger McCullough
Ride Leader: Jared Barr
Directors at Large: Mike Maloney and Dan Reinking
Additional positions include Dale Munn as Webmaster, and Rhonda Freeman as Hospitality Coordinator.
Scheduled Rides for 2017 are as follows:
January 1: New Year’s Day ride from Johnstone Park at 1 pm.
March 14: Spring Training Rides begin on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays
May 19: Bike to Work Day
May 29: Wynona Ramble
June 11-17: Oklahoma Freewheel
July 4: Firecracker Century
September 4: Labor Day Ride
Some discussion of Spring Fling took place, with support voiced in favor of it, but continuing concerns about flagging attendance were also expressed. More discussion can take place next year.
There will only be 6 scheduled meetings next year, and our next meeting will be on February 13.
