A motion to change our bylaws to remove the requirement of having a mountain biking director and the requirement to maintain an annual club membership in the International Mountain Biking Association was proposed and passed, after being brought up at our last board meeting and circulated to the club via email after that previous meeting.
The Bartlesville Boys and Girls Club has an annual Christmas bike giveaway for kids, and they are always in need of donated bikes, as well as help with repairing bikes to be given away. Our club also expressed willingness to continue helping with the annual bike ride fundraiser, provided that the BGC continues holding this ride.
Several current or pending road construction project updates were mentioned that may affect roads used by cyclists.
Spring training rides begin on March 15. Tuesday rides leave from Johnstone Park at 6 pm, and Thursday rides leave from Sooner Park at 6 pm. Saturday rides leave from Johnstone Park and start at 10:00 in March. Riders are required to wear a helmet, and must fill out a club waiver form.
